Welcome to Team Jak HQ – Jak’s Den Livingston
Jak’s Den Livingston is our headquarters for Team Jak. This is where all our support stems from.
We aim to provide much needed emotional and social support from Jak’s Den that some of us know from personal experience is greatly needed and appreciated.
As part of our emotional and social support programme we provide drop ins, coffee sessions, group support for our children with cancer through our Bag of Worries programme, Seasons for Growth, Under 5s sessions, Teen sessions, parent sessions, activity days, music therapy, counselling, homework support and much more.
We currently have a full-time Office Administration Coordinator – Lynn Ward; two Job-Share Children, Young Person & Family Coordinators – Ailsa Meldrum & Sam Henderson; a part-time Creative Coordinator – Aimie Trueman; a part-time Family Support Worker – Sonya Muirhead; part-time Palliative & Bereavement Coordinator, Christine Birrell; two sessional Counsellors; and a Music Therapist – Anna Ludwig.
Our CE Allison Barr, Jak’s Mum; and Fundraising and Volunteer Coordinator Hazel McLinden complete our staff working within Jak’s Den, alongside some fabulous and inspirational volunteers.
Our opening hours will vary over Summer for our families as we settle into our new Den.
Wednesday: 12pm-4pm (closed in morning for Staff training)
Closed Facebook Group
We have a closed Facebook Group for Families only where they can find out more about our activities and support on offer and also support each other on their journeys privately.
